Mission
Energy OutWest, Inc. (EOW) is an independent, nonprofit charitable organization devoted to the promotion and advancement of the technical capacity of the region’s energy and environmental services network through education and training in energy conservation and renewable practices, technologies, and tools that will provide quality service targeting low income families and other households.
EOW acts as a technical resource for the region's low-income energy services network with representatives from seven western states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington), the Navajo Nation, and the Intertribal Council of Arizona. Through regular meetings, the EOW Board exchanges information, training opportunities, technical manual development, administrative knowledge, and other private and public sector opportunities, in an effort to expand and refine their skills and programs. Energy OutWest, Inc. is registered in the State of Washington and recently applied for 501c(3) designation.
Current Business
The Board is working on formally incorporating Energy Outwest
as a non-profit organization. We have finalized the formal application
process and are pursuing insurance and a direct contract with WSU to
coordinate the conference coming in June of this year. The Conference
is the primary focus of activities at the present time. There will be a
Peer Exchange Meeting in the fall in California.
